All the designs and content in the world would never make it to your computer screen without countless hours of site building and programming – and that’s right up Steve Robison’s alley. Taking an interest in programming during his teen years, Steve's a bastion of coding knowledge that has worked with countless systems and protocols.

Steve began his professional programming career with CE Net in 1998. There he performed high-end programming and website projects, managed web and database servers, and more. He also established himself as a team leader, helping to manage and train staff for the first time.

He’d eventually leave CE Net and see time at a variety of local web development firms – furthering his understanding of web strategies at each stop. Over time he mastered HTML, CSS, XHTML, Javascript, XML, RSS, SQL Programming, ColdFusion, PHP, ASP, Perl Programming and much more – making him able to adapt to whatever programming situation may arise.

He partnered with friend Frank Payton to form Fine Line in 2008. With Fine Line, Steve serves as the chief programmer and manager. He handles the daily operations of the company and its projects and clients while maintaining all website and programming projects.

His experience and knowledge of web programming makes him an indispensable member of the team, and one of the finest programmers you’ll be able to find. If there’s one person you can trust the keys to your website to, he’s it.

Often the first company representative you’ll meet, Frank Payton is Fine Line’s go-to man for customer relations and sales. The lifetime Sussex County resident has no trouble relating to people – helping to streamline the web development process and ensure a happier, more sastisfied client.

Frank couples that welcoming attitude with an in depth understanding of web development, IT consulting and relationship management. He originally broke into Internet-related work as a Technical Specialist with Allfirst Financial – developing critical supports sites and managing hundreds of workstations in a multi-operating system environment.

He then spent time with M&T Bank as a Project Manager, where he was a part of a number of enterprise and infrastructure projects.

In that time Frank became increasingly interested in web development, and ultimately began working with local businesses and clients to build and maintain effective web solutions. After leaving M&T, he pursued his growing interest, consistently working in web design until ultimately partnering with Steve Robison in August 2008.

Fine Line hasn’t stopped growing since that modest start – but Frank has never stopped treating each and every client just like they’re the only one the company has. A company is only what its customers make of it, and Frank spends his days making sure that each and every client that chooses Fine Line is happy with the result.

It’s that dedication that makes Frank one of the best at what he does. If it’s web work you need, Frank Payton’s who you should be talking to.

The very first thing you’ll see when you visit a website is its design – whether it’s eye-popping or attention-grabbing. What a website looks like conveys a message to the people that view it, making the graphic design integral to any successful website. For that, we give you one of the best graphic designers in the business: Tom Brown.

Wielding more than a decade of graphics experience, Tom will help give your site a look and feel that’s both professional and original.

Beginning his graphics career as a print designer, Tom designed brochure cover art, layouts, flyers, and branding materials for Graphics Unlimited. At the same time, he plied his trade laying out ads and front page art for the Dover Post Print Company.

Eventually leaving the print world for web design, Tom has spent the better part of the last ten years designing and laying out websites. He’s adept at creating visually appealing and functional layouts. He’s also created branding materials like company logos and print projects such as brochures and mailers.

Any design project you can imagine, Tom can complete. His skills aren’t limited to graphical work either – he’s no stranger to HTML, CSS, Javascript and other protocols.

A consummate team player and experienced web developer, Tom brings a steady, reliable presence to Fine Line. His graphics skills are unparalleled elsewhere, and he’s a personable designer – he’ll work directly with the client in order to exceed any and all expectations.

Fine Line’s content manager, Shawn has written professionally for the past seven years. Originally coming from a print background, Shawn has done freelance newspaper work for both the Cape Gazette and News Journal, cataloguing a variety of sports stories and features on people and places throughout Sussex County.

Shawn pursued his interest in journalism to Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. In the spring of 2009, he graduated from the school with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Public Relations.

Those four years in New Jersey were well spent – while attending Seton Hall; Shawn worked with the Madison Square Garden Network, GolfVacationInsider.com, Major League Baseball and the communications department of Sports Illustrated. Each position helped to hone his writing abilities and gave him a crash course on the modern media environment.

His time with MSG.com and GolfVacationInsider.com also exposed him to direct HTML, SEO and CMS work – providing the first taste of true web-driven content production.

It was that experience that eventually led Shawn to Fine Line after he returned home to Sussex County during the summer of 2009. He took on a number of assignments as a freelancer – time and time again proving his value to our web development team – before ultimately joining the team full time in August.

Shawn has refined his content management abilities as a member of Fine Line’s full-time staff, where he’s become the go-to resource for content and copy – which can carry just as much weight as layout, design and presentation in the website business.

His presence has allowed us to bring an even higher-quality product to our customers, and we couldn’t be happier.
