Cropping Banner Photos using Paint.Net

Written by Frank Payton on Tuesday, 19 April 2011. Posted in New Castle County Web Design, Design and Layout, General Business, Delaware Web Design, Lewes Web Design, Rehoboth Beach Web Design, Milton Web Design, Sussex County Web Design, Kent County Web Design

We pride ourselves on making the websites we build as easy to manage as possible - it's part of the Fine Line mission. We want you to be able to take your website and make the content changes you want, when you want to make them.

For the most part, things have been great. However, one issue we've been asked about quite a bit lately is "cropping" images to fit the established banner constraints we put on the sites we build.

We're going to handle this proactively - in this post you'll find an easy to use guide that will walk you through cropping images using Paint.Net - a FREE and very useful photo editing software that's available online.

Using our guide, you should be able to select, crop and properly prepare your photos for use as banners on your site. All you need up front is the program (FREE!), your photos and the dimensions that you need to crop you photo down to (which can be found in the Joomla! guide we provide our clients with or by contacting Fine Line today).

If you experience any technical issues, be sure to let us know! We're happy to assist.
